Safe Environment

safe

The Diocese of Santa Rosa requires all employees and volunteers who have ANY contact with our students during any school sponsored activity, or who are on our campus while student are present, to comply with very strict volunteer requirements which include: completing a background check through the Diocese of Santa Rosa, and completing a pre-determined Safe Environment course on-line.

Parents who wish to be eligible to volunteer must follow these steps:

  • Complete the registration and the online training at: www.CMGconnect.org  All volunteers must complete the current ‘A Safe Haven; It’s Up to You’ course online.  The course takes approximately an hour to complete.
  • In addition, all those who wish to drive on a class field trip should complete the Safe Driver course.
  • Complete the Live Scan fingerprinting process. Once the CMG online courses have been completed, contact the school Safe Environment Coordinator to receive the Live Scan Form that is required to complete your background check.  Upon completion of Live Scan, please bring a copy of the form to the school office.

Note:  Every 3-4 years all employees and volunteers must re-certify by completing a NEW updated Safe Environment course online to continue being eligible to work with children.
