Michelle Swenson-Aguirre

Mrs. Swenson-Aguirre was born and raised in Rohnert Park.  She knew from a very young age that she wanted to become a teacher.  Michelle studied at CSU, Chico and in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico.  After receiving her Bilingual/Multiple Subject K-12 teaching credential, she moved to Davis, California where she taught first grade and married her husband, Ben.  Mr. and Mrs. Swenson-Aguirre relocated to SonomaCounty in 1991.  Michelle taught K-2 at Sheppard Elementary until her first daughter, Annie was born.  After leaving the classroom, Michelle served as the Roseland School District math mentor.  When she became pregnant with her second daughter, Gigi, she retired from the teaching profession.  She then dedicated her teacher’s heart to St. Sebastian’s Church First Communion program which she taught for 14 years until her third daughter, Katrina, received her First Holy Communion.

Mrs. Swenson-Aguirre’s children began attending St. Rose School in 2002.  Michelle and her husband were greatly appreciative of the well-rounded and faith-centered education that Annie, Gigi and Katrina received.  Michelle felt honored and privileged to become a member of the St. Rose staff in 2011.

Michelle is deeply in love with God and her husband, Ben.  She admires and is awed by horses.  She enjoys a good workout especially cycling, hiking or a good ride but is not a competitive sports enthusiast.  The mountains are one of her favorite places to be, and she is happiest in the country, not being much of a city girl.  She enjoys a good cup of coffee and her dearest friends.  More than anything else, she loves to do anything with her children and family.
