Jessica Marshall started as the Resource Specialist in 2014, but she has been a part of the St. Rose community since 2009. First as a yard duty and PE volunteer, then as a student teacher in sixth grade. From 2010-2013 she worked with individual students providing reading support.
Ms. Marshall has a K-8 multiple subject credential as well as a Masters in Teaching Reading from the University of San Francisco. She also has a Masters of Arts in Philosophy from Georgetown University. Teaching is her second career after 19 years of management in education and public policy in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Marshall grew up living in Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, France, Minnesota, Washington, D.C., and California. Now she enjoys working out, hiking, tennis, reading, knitting and world travel. When not at St. Rose, she is busy with Growing Readers 365, a nonprofit organization she and a colleague from USF started to provide reading intervention to underserved children in Sonoma and Napa counties.
