Athletics
In addition to St. Rose’s regular Physical Education program, we belong to the North Bay Catholic Schools League. This league offers a variety of options for students and families to get involved in team sports.
Our primary emphasis is to teach the children to display good Christian values and sportsmanship during play while building and strengthening their skills. As they learn to play the game, they are preparing for high school athletics – and having fun representing their school!
volleyball
St. Rose Volleyball teams are formed for grades five through eight (girls teams every year, boys based on available players). Volleyball teams are part of the North Bay Catholic Schools League. These teams are coordinated by our Athletic Director and coached by parent volunteers. Signups go home via the Wednesday Envelope in May.
- Boys – One Team – 5th – 6th & 7th – 8th Grade combined teams
- Girls Junior Varsity – 5th and 6th Grade Teams
- Girls Varsity – 7th and 8th Grade Teams
Basketball
All students have the opportunity play on their school team without having to try out. Though our league is built on participation, our goal is to be competitive and challenging for all levels of play. These teams are coordinated by our Athletic Director and coached by parent volunteers. Signups go home via the Wednesday Envelope in August
